Private Dropzon

Your own private address point for your home, office, or building.

What is a Private Dropzon?

A Private Dropzon is a personal or shared Dropzon that you create and manage yourself. Unlike public Dropzons (which are run by agents or branch staff), a Private Dropzon is for your own use or for a small group of people you invite.

Use cases:

  • Home address - Set up a DZ Address at your house for just you and your family
  • Office - Create a shared Dropzon for your workplace so all employees can receive packages
  • Apartment building - One Dropzon for the whole building, with each tenant getting their own spot
  • Shared house - Housemates each get their own DZ# code at the same location

How to create a Private Dropzon

Go to Private Dropzons in the app

Open the Dropzon app and navigate to Private Dropzons from the main menu.

Tap "Create Private Dropzon"

Give your Dropzon a name (e.g. "My Home", "Acme Office") and set the location on the map.

Set the capacity

Choose how many spots you need. For a home, 1-5 is typical. For an office or building, you may need more.

Pay the setup fee

Private Dropzons have a setup fee and recurring monthly fee. You will see the pricing before confirming.

Your Private Dropzon is live

You automatically get the first spot. You can now invite others to join your Private Dropzon.

Inviting people to your Private Dropzon

As the owner, you can invite others to get a DZ Address at your Private Dropzon:

Go to your Private Dropzon settings

Open your Private Dropzon and tap "Invite Members" or "Manage Invitations".

Send an invitation

Enter the phone number of the person you want to invite. They will receive an SMS with an invitation link.

They accept and get their spot

The invited person opens the link, logs into Dropzon (or creates an account), and accepts the invitation. They get their own DZ# code at your Private Dropzon.

Note: Only the Private Dropzon owner can send invitations. Invited members cannot invite others.

Managing your Private Dropzon

As the owner, you can:

  • View all members and their DZ# codes
  • Remove members from your Private Dropzon
  • Cancel pending invitations
  • Update the Dropzon name and details
  • Manage your subscription and billing
Important: If you cancel your Private Dropzon subscription, all members lose their DZ Addresses at that location. Make sure to inform everyone before canceling.

How much does a Private Dropzon cost?
Pricing depends on your location and the capacity you choose. You can see exact pricing in the app when creating a Private Dropzon.
Can I receive packages at a Private Dropzon?
Yes. Packages addressed to any DZ# code at your Private Dropzon will be delivered to that location, just like a regular Dropzon.
Who handles packages at a Private Dropzon?
Since there is no operator, packages are delivered directly to the address. You and your members are responsible for receiving and managing packages at the location.
Can I convert a Private Dropzon to a public one?
No. Private and public Dropzons are different types. If you want to run a public Dropzon as an agent, you need to apply through the Become a Dropzon page.
