๐Ÿ  Private Dropzon

Private Dropzon

Your own private address point - for home, office, store, or logistics operation.

What is a Private Dropzon?

A Private Dropzon is a personal or shared Dropzon that you create and manage yourself. Unlike public Dropzons (run by agents or branch staff), a Private Dropzon is for your own use or for people you invite - family, employees, residents, or business partners.

Private Dropzons come in six categories across three capability tiers. Your category determines what features you get access to.

How to register a Private Dropzon

1

Choose your category

Open the Dropzon app, navigate to Private Dropzons from the main menu, and tap "Register Private Dropzon". Select the category that matches your location - home, apartment, office, store, factory, or logistics. Your category determines your tier and the features you get access to.

2

Enter your Dropzon details

Give your Dropzon a name (e.g. "Lawi Residence", "Acme Office", "Mama Grace Boutique") and add a contact phone number. Apartment buildings automatically run in multi-unit mode. Offices and homes can optionally enable multi-unit if you have multiple floors or units.

3

Set the location

Select your country, region, city, and municipality using the location dropdowns. Enter your street name and optional house number, ward, and district. Tap "Pin on map" to add GPS coordinates - strongly recommended so Droppers can find you accurately.

4

Review the fees and confirm

You will see a full fee breakdown before confirming - the one-time registration fee, the annual renewal fee, and the per-member spot fee. The registration fee covers your first year. Tap "Register and Pay" to complete the setup.

5

Your Private Dropzon is live

You automatically get the first spot (member #1) at your new Dropzon. Your DZ Address is assigned immediately. You can now invite others to join, and for commercial or logistics tiers, create outbound packages and generate API keys from the dashboard.

Inviting people to your Private Dropzon

As the owner, you can invite others to get a DZ Address at your Private Dropzon:

1

Go to your Private Dropzon settings

Open your Private Dropzon and tap "Invite Members" or "Manage Invitations".

2

Send an invitation

Enter the phone number of the person you want to invite. They will receive an SMS with an invitation link.

3

They accept and get their spot

The invited person opens the link, logs into Dropzon (or creates an account), and accepts the invitation. They get their own DZ# code at your Private Dropzon.

Note: Only the Private Dropzon owner can send invitations. Invited members cannot invite others. A per-member spot fee applies for each additional member.

Outbound packages (Commercial and Logistics tiers)

Store, factory, and logistics category Dropzons can create outbound packages directly from their Private Dropzon dashboard. This is useful for shops that regularly send orders to customers.

  • Go to the Packages tab on your Private Dropzon page
  • Tap Create Package and fill in the recipient details and package info
  • You must specify an origin Dropzon - a public agent or branch location where the package will be handed to the courier for dispatch
  • Once created, you can request a Dropper pickup to collect the package from your location and deliver it to the origin Dropzon
Origin Dropzon: Packages cannot be dispatched directly from a Private Dropzon - they must be handed over at a public agent or branch location for routing into the network. Specify the nearest Dropzon as the origin, or use a Dropper to collect from you.

API integration (Logistics tier)

Factory and logistics category Dropzons get access to API key management and the status push API. This lets you integrate Dropzon package tracking directly into your own delivery management system.

API Keys

Generate API keys from the API Keys tab on your Private Dropzon page. Each key is shown once at creation time - copy it and store it securely. Keys can be scoped (e.g. read-only or status-push only) and revoked at any time. You can have up to 10 active keys per Private Dropzon.

Status Push API

Push tracking status updates to Dropzon as packages move through your delivery network. Supported statuses include: dispatched, in transit, out for delivery, at local hub, and more. Updates are reflected instantly in the customer's tracking view.

API documentation is available in your Private Dropzon dashboard under the API Keys tab.

Managing your Private Dropzon

As the owner, you can:

  • View all members and their DZ# codes
  • Remove members from your Private Dropzon
  • Cancel pending invitations
  • Update the Dropzon name and contact details
  • Manage your subscription and billing
  • For commercial and logistics tiers: view all outbound packages
  • For logistics tier: manage API keys and revoke access
Important: If you cancel your Private Dropzon subscription, all members lose their DZ Addresses at that location. Make sure to inform everyone before canceling.
