How to use your DZ Address on forms

Your DZ Address comes in a format that works on any international form. Here is how to fill in common fields:

Street Address:DZ#1000-03, Uhuru Street

State/Region:Dar es Salaam
ZIP/Postal Code:Your area ZIP code
Country:Tanzania

The most important part is including your DZ# code in the street address field. This is what allows any package to be routed to your exact Dropzon and spot.

Tip: You can copy your full formatted address from the Dropzon app. Go to your address page and tap the copy button to get the full address ready to paste.

Subscription plans and billing

Your DZ Address requires an active subscription. Plans are priced based on your location and billing cycle. The system checks for pricing in this order:

  1. Dropzon-specific pricing - custom price set for that specific location
  2. Municipality pricing - pricing for your district or municipality
  3. City pricing - pricing for your city
  4. Country pricing - default pricing for the country

Available billing cycles:

  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Quarterly (every 3 months)
  • Semi-Annual (every 6 months)
  • Annual (every 12 months - usually the best value)

Grace period and spot renewal

When your subscription expires, your address does not disappear immediately. Here is the lifecycle:

Active

Your subscription is paid and current. Packages route to you normally.

Grace Period (14 days)

Subscription expired but your spot is held for 14 days. Packages can still arrive. You will see a warning to renew. Renew anytime during this period to keep your spot.

Vacant

14 days passed without renewal. Your spot is released and can be assigned to someone else. You will need to subscribe again (and may get a different spot number).

Warning: If you have packages on the way, do not let your subscription expire. If a package arrives after your spot is reassigned, you will need to pay a recovery penalty fee (10% of declared package value, minimum TZS 5,000 / USD $2.00) to claim it.

Unsubscribing from a DZ Address

You can unsubscribe from a DZ Address at any time from the app. When you unsubscribe:

  • Your address stays active until the end of your current billing period
  • After that, the 14-day grace period begins
  • After the grace period, your spot becomes vacant
  • You cannot "delete" an address - you can only unsubscribe and let the spot vacate

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my Dropzon location without losing my DZ# code?
Your DZ# code is tied to a specific Dropzon. If you want a different location, you would need to subscribe to the new location and get a new DZ# code. You can keep both active at the same time.
What if I move to a different city?
Subscribe to a Dropzon in your new city. Your old address stays active as long as you keep paying. You can have addresses in multiple cities.
Can I transfer my DZ Address to someone else?
No. DZ Addresses are personal and tied to your account. If you unsubscribe, the spot goes back to the available pool - it is not transferred to another person.
How do I update my address on forms if I change Dropzons?
You will need to update your address on any forms or platforms where you used your old DZ# code, just like you would if you moved house in any country.
