Receiving Packages

How packages arrive at your Dropzon and how to collect them.

How package delivery works

When someone sends a package to your DZ Address, here is what happens:

Package is addressed to your DZ#

The sender uses your DZ# code (e.g. DZ#1000-03) as part of your delivery address.

Package arrives at your Dropzon

The courier or logistics company delivers the package to the Dropzon location linked to your DZ# code.

Operator receives and logs it

The Dropzon operator scans and logs the package into the system. You get a notification that a package is waiting for you.

You pick up or request delivery

Walk to your Dropzon to pick it up, or request a Dropper to deliver it to your door.

Picking up your package

When you arrive at your Dropzon to pick up a package, you need to verify your identity. There are three ways:

DZ# Code

Tell the operator your DZ# code and they will look up your packages.

QR Code

Show your QR code from the Dropzon app. The operator scans it to verify you.

OTP

Request a one-time code via SMS and share it with the operator for verification.

Once verified, the operator hands over your package and marks it as collected in the system. You will see the status update in your app.

Requesting Dropper delivery to your door

Dropper is an optional last-mile service. You only request it if you want the package brought to your door - otherwise you simply walk to your Dropzon and pick it up yourself.

Open the package in the app

Go to My Packagesand tap the package that shows status "At Destination Dropzon" or "Ready to Collect".

Tap "Request Dropper"

Scroll past the pickup OTP and you will see a card: "Want it delivered to your door?" Tap Request Dropper to expand the form.

Fill in delivery details

Choose a vehicle type (motorcycle, tricycle, car, or van), enter your full delivery address, and add any instructions for the rider (optional - e.g. "Call when nearby", "Gate code 1234"). Tap Confirm Dropper Request.

Rider is assigned

A nearby Dropper rider is assigned to your delivery. You will see their name, phone number, and vehicle type appear in the My Deliveries section of the app (go to Dropper in the menu).

Track in real time

Open My Deliveries to watch the progress through 7 steps: Requested - Rider Assigned - En Route to Dropzon - Package Picked Up - On the Way - Rider Arrived - Delivered. When the rider is sharing their location, a live map appears showing exactly where they are.

OTP handover at your door

When the rider arrives, they will ask for your delivery OTP. Find it in the amber panel on the My Deliveries screen. Share it with the rider to confirm receipt. The package is then marked delivered.

Dropper is always optional. You can ignore the Request Dropper card entirely and just go pick up the package yourself using your OTP or DZ# code. The delivery fee is shown before you confirm - there is no charge for choosing to pick up yourself.

You can track all your packages from the Dropzon app at any time. Key statuses:

In Transit

Package is on its way to your Dropzon

At Destination Dropzon

Arrived and waiting for you - you can pick up or request Dropper

Out for Delivery

A Dropper rider is bringing it to your door

Delivered

Received at your door via Dropper

Collected

You picked it up in person at the Dropzon

You will receive a notification at each stage so you always know where your package is.

Frequently asked questions

How long will my package be held at the Dropzon?
Packages are held for up to 14 days. You will receive reminders to pick up before the holding period ends. After 14 days, the package may be returned to the sender or moved to a storage facility.
Can someone else pick up my package for me?
Only verified users can collect packages. The person must have access to your DZ# code, QR code, or OTP to verify at the counter.
What if my package is damaged?
Report the issue immediately at the Dropzon counter. The operator will log a damage report. If your package was insured, you can file a claim through the app.
How much does Dropper delivery cost?
Delivery fee is calculated based on the distance from your Dropzon to your delivery address and the vehicle type. You see the exact price before confirming - no surprises.
Can I cancel a Dropper request?
Yes, if the rider has not yet been dispatched (status is still "Requested"), you can cancel from the My Deliveries screen. Once a rider is assigned and on the way, cancellations may not be available.
Where is my delivery OTP?
Once you request Dropper, the delivery OTP appears in the amber panel on the My Deliveries screen (go to Dropper in the app menu). It is separate from the pickup OTP used at the Dropzon counter.
